It's virtually guaranteed that anyone can get started using a brand new e-cig in minutes. Though they definitely work a little differently than traditional tobacco cigarettes, electronic cigarettes are actually very easy to use. Read on to understand how you can begin.
Unwrapping the product
You need to take the whole package apart in order to begin your electronic cigarette experience. It's possible to begin rolling immediately as most electronic cigarettes are shipped with some degree of battery charge. Come back to this walk through after charging your drained battery for a couple of hours.
One battery, one atomizer, and one cartridge are the 3 main pieces you should get together. Finding these objects should be easy. The battery is the long piece with an LED light on the end. The atomizer is probably the smallest item in the box with a small braided metallic thing sticking out of one end of it. Lastly, the cartridge, which holds the nicotine solution, is roughly the size of the filter on a normal cigarette. The cartridges can be uncovered at the end or possibly have a plastic cap or even a full foil covering. The cover has to be removed before assembly, so go ahead and do that.
Putting the pieces together
Once you've got all the pieces together, assembly is very simple. Next, on most brands, the open end of the cartridge simply slides right over the top of the metal braided end of the atomizer.
The first puff
Your next step depends on whether you have an automatic or manual battery. If you can't tell, check the outside of your battery for a small button. That is the case with a manual battery otherwise it is automatic.
When you have a manual battery, the only thing different that you need to do is to press the button on the battery while you inhale. If you try in front of a mirror to observe if the LED at the tip of the battery is lighting up, it would be beneficial. If not, you're battery is probably drained and you need to charge it.
If your not getting any vapor, but the LED is lit, hold it for a second or two, wait, and try hitting it again. Occasionally the nicotine solution will take a while to make its way to the atomizer, so you may need to repeat this process five to ten times.
If you've done this for a bit and still aren't getting any vapor, try hitting a little bit harder, although you shouldn't have to hit any harder than a traditional smoke at any point.
New atomizers usually require one or two days to actually start working the way they are supposed to, and some have an odd taste in the beginning. It's not unusual and the effect should dissipate within a day.
If no vapor is being produced at this point, slip the cartridge from the atomizer. Is the atomizer wick moist? There is supposed to be some nicotine solution on it. If it is damp and you're not getting any vapor, you may have a dead atomizer. If the material is not moist, then likely the nicotine solution is not reaching the atomizer.
If you look on the inside of the cartridge you should be able to locate a small cotton ball about 3 mm in diameter. That fabric should be moist with nicotine solution. If not, you've got an empty cartridge.
If everything looks good but still you are not getting the vapor , you may have to get it replaced from the company you purchased.
